I'm lucky to be alive! I was rescued by a Florida highway patrol trooper as I was strolling down interstate I-95. He brought me to the shelter so I could be looked after and I hoped my family would come for me, but they haven't. I thought I was part of the family, but I guess they just don't want me any longer. I'm a sweet girl but getting passed by...I think people don't want me because of my age. I got to spend some time with the staff, and they said I'm curious of everything. A proper walking harness is recommended for me since I pull a bit on the leash. It is unknown how I am with other pets. Please give me time to get to know you and if you give me pets behind my ears that is my favorite spot. Thanks to Husky lover Marisha she has kindly paid my adoption fee. To meet Myrtle or any other pet, complete the pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and then stop by. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. and the shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL. If you have questions call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
