Meet Koko the Cavapoo

Koko was surrendered to PRBJ when her owner was no longer able to care for this very energetic pup. Koko is playful and has been to some training, but she  will need an active owner/family to give her the time and attention needed. Koko reportedly likes dogs and kids, but because she is so energetic and bouncy, we are recommending an adult only home or with older teenagers. We do not recommend homes with small dogs or cats for this girl due to her energy and bounciness.   Regular brushing, about 3 to 4 times a week, is crucial to prevent matting and tangles and to keep a Cavapoo's coat healthy. Regularly check and clean ears, brush teeth, and trim nails.    Professional grooming is advisable every 6-8 weeks. Cavapoos have an adaptable nature and friendly disposition and thrive on interactive play with mental stimulation.  They are energetic and active dogs that require regular exercise (up to 60 min a day) and socialization is equally important. Consistent training is beneficial, as Cavapoos are smart and eager to please. New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We recommend the ENTIRE family attend puppy training classes. This ensures that all family member are using the same commands and techniques.

Adoption Process
First step is to fill out an adoption application online. Once that has been received, an adoption screener is assigned to the application to ensure the pet is a a good fit.
