Meet Odie *read bio 1st*

Odie is a sweet little guy but he is not without some quirks that need to be worked on. *Maltese / Shih Tzu ix *~ 4 years  *18 pounds but should be 11 pounds (has already lost 3 pounds) *Needs someone that is familiar with good nutrition/calories/carbs *Needs a playful companion pup to encourage his play *Needs someone familiar with the breed & grooming *Must have a groomer that can handle fear reactive dogs (will be called to confirm) *Adopter must be able to walk him & work on his leash reactivity  *Not apt/condo appropriate as he has some separation anxiety & can be noisy *Can be a little jealous of owner but redirects well *No Cats as he loves to go after them *No small children due to being nippy & misunderstood *His favorite place is to be right next to you on the couch or in your bed Please look past the picture & read what Odie needs as he has already had 2 previous owners that have given up on him due to lack of training. He is not a dog for someone who is a 1st time dog owner. I want for *you* to be his most perfect furever home, where he can shine & be the best Adventure Buddy EVER!!

Adoption Process
Accept application, review application, check vet and 2 personal references, conduct home visit, Adoption Committee reviews all information and makes adoption decision. If yes, adopter completes contract indicating dog will be a pet and kept inside and if they cannot keep the dog they will return to our rescue. They pay an adoption donation based on the breed, purebred or mix, age, and health of the dog.
