Meet Melody

Melody is available for adoption. She is 7 years old and weighs 17 lbs. Her adoption fee is $400.00.   Hi, I'm Melody.  I am 7 years old, I am a Yorkie Poodle mix. I am a nice size to cuddle with and sit with, I weigh 17 pounds and I am a real snuggler. No one knows the whole story but I am completely blind. I lived with my family my whole life. My human Mom and Grandma took me to a shelter because we were homeless. Human shelters do not allow dogs. So the shelter knew that as loved pet, I needed some extra help finding a new home. I am housebroken, very gentle and I get along with other dogs. I am a good dog in the car, the groomers say I am a good girl. I love a warm gentle bath and to be brushed. The cooler weather is great, the breezes and wonderful smells are so exciting. I have a fenced in yard which helps me to walk around by myself by touching the fence and house. Inside the house took me a few days to figure out. Foster Mom calls me so I know where the good stuff is happening! I am pretty low key and energy, I like to play bitey feet and tug and can walk on a leash just like everyone else. Foster Mom says I am usually a little slower when we do things because I am very careful.  I am spayed and microchipped. Save a Yorkie Rescue and my Veterinarian have taken care of my health with the surgery and lab work as well as got me through the summer heat and allergies.  I'm ready for my forever family and home now!    Melody is staying with Ruth in Milton, DE.

Adoption Process
We ask for a $25 processing fee. We require people to have a vet history, dog experience, and time to work with a dog.
