Meet Jasmine #3

Jasmine is a beautiful 7 year old female black lab with a shiny soft coat.  She is on the petite side at just 64 pounds. She is up to date on vaccinations and is in good overall health.  She also went into heat shortly after arriving so will need to be spayed in a couple of months by the adopting family. Jasmine is a friendly, playful girl who came to Brookline Lab Rescue from an Amish farm where she had her last litter in the spring.  She has adjusted very well to living in a home and loves the comforts that it offers.  She is smart and picking up basic commands quickly.  She is house broken and knows sit and stay. As is typical with former breeder moms, Jasmine is shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly.  She is food motivated so yummy treats help!  She loves to be with people and will happily follow you around the house.  Jasmine does fine being home crated for the work-day as long as she has gotten enough exercise and attention each day.  She has free reign of the house when foster mom is home and she has proven to be trust-worthy.  She’s a great work from home companion too.  Jasmine relaxes nicely and will nap by your feet or on her dog bed.  She enjoys running around the yard and going on walks.  She doesn’t need a very active family but needs playtime in the yard or a walk each day.  She is still getting used to the sounds and smells of life off the farm so she will pull when on walks but is getting better.  She does weave back and forth some for maximum sniff coverage.  She will make an excellent walking partner.  She also loves to play with her stuffed toys and will occupy herself with them or a BeneBone if bored.  She does well in the car. Jasmine seeks lots of love.  She follows FM around the house and loves getting attention.  She is friendly and good natured and gets along with other dogs but would be fine as an only dog.  If you think you can provide Jasmine with lots of love, some nice sniffy walks and a soft place to rest her head, she will pay you back with her devotion and some adorable tail wags! PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. For more information on this Lab, please contact [email protected].  If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, www.brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. Adoption Process
All applicants complete an application and have a home visit before being approved to adopt. Once approved to adopt, they wait to find the right dog for their family. They are required to sign a pre-adoptive agreement and keep the dog they are matched with for a 3 week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well during that period, they sign an adoption agreement and adopt the dog. The fees vary depending on the age and altered status of the dog. We do require all dogs to be altered if they are not already and require obedience training as well
