Meet Olena

Meet Olena — our very own little sunray of joy! At just 22 weeks old and weighing in at a petite 14 pounds, she's a mixed breed with a bright personality and a future full of snuggles (and probably some puppy mischief). Once she's fully grown, she's expected to be a delightful 31-60 pounds of lovable energy — perfect for hikes, cuddles, or just soaking up the sun (which she’s named after, after all!).Olena's journey started far away in Puerto Rico, where she flew here to find her forever family — talk about a pup with an international flair! She’s as sweet as a tropical breeze and just as playful. She loves making friends, whether with other dogs or children, and is always ready for a game or a cuddle session. Olena has not had the opportunity to befriend any cats, so it is unknown how she will be with them.Currently, she's mastering the art of house, crate, and leash training, so she'll soon be a pro at being your well-behaved sunshine buddy. The perfect family or individual for Olena will have the time and patience to provide this basic puppy training. If you have the time and love to give Olena and learn alongside her on her likes and your routine, you will be rewarded with a special family companion. If you're looking for a pup who will brighten your days and keep you on your toes with her adorable antics, Olena is ready to shine her light on your life! Please keep reading to bring Olena home. *When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Olena is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue, and transport fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Adoption Process
Potential adopters must complete a comprehensive application, interview and home inspection. The final step in the process is explaination and completion of adoption contract. The adoption fee is $450 inclusive of all vetting and transportation charges.
