Meet Monte
Meet sweet young Monte! This friendly fellow came to us from Puerto Rico with a big group of other dogs. At just 5 months old and 24 pounds, we expect Monte to grow into a large dog of over 60 pounds. He is playful with all his doggy friends and absolutely loves people. This happy guy greets everyone he meets with an enthusiastic wagging tail and a joyful attitude. Monte is currently learning important skills like walking nicely on a leash, house training, and crate training. He shows how eager he is to learn and please his humans. Monte gets along well with children and other dogs. We are not sure yet if he has met any cats.Like all rescue dogs, Monte needs a patient and loving home to help him settle in and learn. While he will likely become a large dog, his sweet and gentle personality will make him a wonderful companion for a family ready for puppy fun and big dog snuggles. He is looking for a family who can offer lots of playtime, cuddles, and gentle guidance as he grows into theamazing dog we know he can be.* Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Monte is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.
Adoption Process
Potential adopters must complete a comprehensive application, interview and home inspection. The final step in the process is explaination and completion of adoption contract. The adoption fee is $450 inclusive of all vetting and transportation charges.
