Meet Jack

Meet Jack! A charming 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix hailing from Memphis, TN, though he's ready to journey anywhere for his next loving family! This handsome fellow , weighing around 45 pounds, is a bundle of energy and affection, eagerly awaiting a home that understands his unique needs. Jack is a canine dynamo when it comes to playtime! His favorite pastime includes a spirited game of fetch with his frisbee or ball, occasionally punctuated by his excitement over a soccer ball. When not engaged in high-energy antics, he relishes leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs on a leash. However, nothing quite matches the joy he finds in gnawing on his cherished bones. Beyond his playfulness, Jack is a graduate of formal obedience training, boasting an impressive repertoire of commands including "Heel," "Place," "Down," "Stay," "Sit," "Shake," "Roll Over," and "Kennel." His commitment to obedience extends beyond the basics, evidenced by his enrollment in free lifetime Saturday obedience classes at Taming the Wild. This invaluable resource, which will be seamlessly transferred to his new caretaker, underscores Jack's dedication to continuous growth and development! Despite his training, Jack grapples with anxiety around strangers, necessitating medication to help ease his nerves. While not aggressive, his reactive nature warrants a cautious approach, particularly in bustling environments. In terms of routine, Jack thrives on consistency. He adheres to a twice-daily feeding schedule, supplemented with medication administration, and finds solace in his kennel for sleep. Regular walks are a staple in his routine, ensuring he stays both mentally and physically stimulated. Prospective adopters should be aware of Jack's need for a calm and predictable environment, preferably with planned visitors or an understanding of his stranger anxiety. Additionally, his new family must be prepared to continue his medication regimen and provide the love and patience he deserves. Despite his challenges, Jack's endearing qualities shine bright. His intelligence, trainability, and affectionate nature make him a delightful companion for the right family. If you're ready to welcome this sweet and playful pup into your home, reach out to [email protected] more information on making Jack a part of your family!
