Meet Sparky! This fun-sized cutie is ready to light up your life! We absolutely love his sweet eyes, those satellite dish ears, and his helicopter wagging tail. Sparky is a typical puppy in many ways, and unique in others. He loves his group play and squeaky toys, always followed by nap time and snuggles. He’s friendly with new adults and children, plays well with other dogs and is very intelligent; already responding to corrections and showing a willingness to learn. His eagerness to please at such a young age tells us that, in the right home, he’ll grow up to be an excellent dog! Sparky’s story: Sparky’s tale begins at a fire station down in Arkansas, near a recreational area that is known for animal abandonment. He was found and turned over to local Animal Control, who arranged for temporary foster care before his transport to one of our incredible foster partners. Right now, he’s loving meeting new people, being a silly puppy and patiently waiting for his forever home. Sparky is aptly named after the location where he was found, and his name also fits his personality—he’s just got that lovable spark! Being just a puppy, Sparky has so much to learn! He will need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs (especially puppies) attend obedience class to learn commands, socialize and build confidence, and strengthen that ever-important bond with their human family. It’s lots of fun, too! It takes a lot of time, energy, love and patience to bring up a puppy like Sparky—and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to give him a loving home, then fill out an application today. Sweet puppy smooches and warm snuggles await! Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
