Meet Bunny! This happy girl is the proud mama of the Baby Animals puppy litter. We think that Bunny and her pups might be a Dachshund/terrier mix. What we do know for sure, though, is that they are absolutely adorable, sweet as can be and ready to find forever homes! In case Bunny hasn’t won you over with those sweet, soulful eyes and floppy ears, she has a great personality to boot. She listens well, is responsive to corrections and loves meeting new people. She does well in the car, is leash trained and enjoys exploring new places, but she’s just as happy to lounge around at home while you work or run errands. Bunny knows that adult dogs are sometimes overlooked, but she wants you to know that she’s a calm, quiet and loving companion. She is gentle, affectionate and is making great progress with her training. She hopes to find a family that will treat her to a few chew toys, a nice place to lay her head and plenty of cuddles. Bunny has worked hard to keep her babies safe and is ready to enjoy the lap dog lifestyle! Will you give sweet little Bunny the fur-ever family she so deserves? Fill out an application before she hops away! The Baby Animals story: Just before Valentine's Day, a kind-hearted lady spotted Bunny—a very pregnant stray dog—braving the cold weather alone. She knew Bunny needed help; she could take her in from the cold but couldn’t keep her long term nor care for her future pups. That’s when she reached out to one of our southern rescue partners and they stepped in! Bunny was placed into a loving foster home, and just three days later, she gave birth to 7 bundles of joy. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
