Meet Buddy
BUDDY is a handsome, very sweet 9-year-old, American Staffordshire Terrier, weighing about 85 pounds, with a heart bigger than his chunky head. This lovable guy was adopted from a shelter in Oklahoma and has spent the last few years in a quiet, loving home in Hackensack, NJ. Thenhis life changed. In November of 2024, Buddy's devoted owner passed away at the age of 93. Since then, Buddy has remained alone in the home he shared with his devoted owner. He is visited daily multiple times by family members who care for him. With the home now up for sale, they have realized that it is time for Buddy to find a new home - filled with love, warmth and companionship. Buddy is neutered and micro-chipped, he is up-to-date on vaccines. He has a very sweet and well-behaved personality, knows basic commands, he is house trained and respectful. He is described as an overall good boy by his late owner's family. If he was able to choose his ideal home: it can be adult only or a home with children, no cats, may be best as the only pet or possibly with a calm companion after a meet. He is good with kids, likes to play, and loves his walks. Buddy is likely heartbroken and very confused, but with a gentle hand and a loving heart, he will flourish. He's not just looking for a home. He is looking for a person to love. He has so much to offer in his Golden Years, and he deserves the love and devotion of a new home and family. If you can offer Buddy a place to rest his head and feel safe again, please reach out. He’s ready to be your loyal companion. Can you be Buddy's savior?
