Meet Dawn Easter

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application  HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see  HERE Age: 1 Year (as of 3/1/2024) Weight: 66.4 lbs (as of 4/23/2024) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Dawn, a gentle sweatheart with a heart of gold. This gorgeous girl was found dumped in a ditch at the edge of some woods with her 12 puppies that didn’t even have their eyes open, but despite this harsh treatment, she hasn't lost her sweet and affectionate nature and has plenty of love and loyalty to give. At around a year old, Dawn isn’t much more than a puppy herself so has plenty of energy to keep up with an active family but also loves to snuggle with her people. Dawn is a big softie who adores cuddles and belly rubs. She is pretty calm but is learning not to jump up. She also walks fairly well on a leash, with only a little pulling, but she is working on that. Dawn is the perfect partner for outdoor adventures or lazy strolls in the park. Dawn is also a social butterfly who gets along famously with all the dogs she has met. While Dawn hasn't been around cats yet, her easygoing nature suggests she could adapt with proper introductions. She hasn't had any accidents in the house, showing she's a quick learner and eager to please. Dawn's gentle demeanor makes her a great fit for families with school age children, as she has been patient and loving and eager for pets from them during her walks in the neighborhood. Although Dawn is a big girl, she can be a bit shy in new situations. With patience and positive reinforcement, she's sure to blossom into an even more confident companion. Dawn is the perfect girl for the family looking for a loyal and affectionate addition to their family! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
