Dalton is a 4yr old, 24lb happy and handsome Corgi with a glorious full tail. He was surrendered to CCFR along with his brothers after being kept in an outdoor pen his whole life. Despite a rough start, Dalton is a wonderful companion and is happily settling into home life. He has a mellow temperament and enjoys long naps and sunbathing for short periods in the yard. He is highly food motivated, happy to please people, and loves a good cuddle. Dalton does well walking on a harness, but prefers to go slowly and have plenty of time to sniff everything along the way. Someone who will motivate him to go on these sniffaris is needed. He is doing great with potty training and hasn’t had any accidents, but still wears a belly band inside to prevent any marking, though his foster mom is hopeful this will stop now that he is neutered. He does well with other dogs, and while he isn’t cat tested, he is respectful of the rabbit and chickens at his foster mom’s house. Dalton is crate trained. His ideal home would be one that is as chill as he is so respectful kids 10+ if any is preferred. He also has not mastered stairs so would do best in a home with a single level primary living space. If interested in meeting Dalton, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Dalton is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $425 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.
