Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Mandy

Meet marvelous 3-year-old Mandy! The 40-pound black and tan beauty, a beguiling blend of affectionate and active, is paws-itively blooming in her foster home. Sweet, social and snuggly, she loves cuddling with her fosters, resting her head on them and rolling over for belly rubs before dancing and prancing happily about the house. She gets along well with her medium-sized doggy foster friends, loves playing outside, playing with balls and stuffed animals, going for walks, improving her leash skills daily, and will make someone a superb walking and hiking partner. A calm passenger in the car, Mandy, who’s motivated by food, toys and love, currently knows “come,” “sit,” “down” and “no,” is very attentive and alert, and watches for her foster mom to give her a command. Accepting all treats gently, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Mandy will thrive in a loving home preferably with older children (perhaps another active dog), that will complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content, both mentally and physically fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.
