Colorado Corgis and Friends

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!CCFR acquired our 501c3 in January 2020CCFR is PACFA certified as of January 17, 2020

Meet Angus

Introducing Angus!  This chonky little corgi pup is almost 12 weeks old and already weighs in at 10lbs.  He is growing fast and is now ready to find his forever family. Angus is your typical corgi. He is playful, makes friends with everyone he meets, and of course is a little naughty at times.  He currently loves shoes, and often tries sneak off with one when he thinks no one is watching. He already knows how to use his voice and is a real talker, including puppy howls when he hears sirens. Like most puppies, chewing is his favorite activity so lots of toys are a must, especially those with squeakers! Angus is doing great with potty training, but he will need let out often with reminders and positive reinforcement until he his older. He sleeps in a crate at night in his foster mom’s room and does well for short periods during the day. Angus loves to play and would love another dog to wrestle and play chase with. He is looking for a home with a secure and puppy proofed yard and preferably a family with herding breed experience. He has not been tested with cats but has done well with chickens and the rabbit in his foster home. Respectful children 10+ may be considered. Puppy training and socialization classes are highly recommended, and, as a puppy, he will need someone home with him most of the day. He is not a good fit for an apartment situation or young children. If you’re interested in meeting Angus, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Angus is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. His adoption fee is $550, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

Adoption Process
Meet and greet application, personal and vet reference check (we require all current and previous pets be altered and utd on fire vaccs unless vet note), home/yard/fence check and meet with all member in home including both two and four legged. If determined to be a good fit, adoption contract and payment. We require dogs must be returned to our rescue if adopter can no longer care for the dog.
