Meet Mister

Mister is a sweet senior 12-pound Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home. He is 13 years old and was found as a stray in Texas.  He was scared in the shelter as all he wanted was a nice, soft bed to relax in. He was super skinny and in poor health. He enjoys walking around the backyard watching butterflies and squirrels with his foster brothers. He’s not a big fan of walks because he doesn’t see or hear all that well and things startle him.  Since walks are a challenge, Mister should have a fence yard or a patio area where he can do his business. He gets along great with other dogs in the home, but doesn’t play with them, preferring the doggie bed instead. He is crate trained and potty trained. Mister will tolerate kids that are respectful, but due to his vision impairment, only kids over 10 years old will be accepted. He ignores cats (and is most likely smaller than them!). Mister has a heart murmur, which is common in older Chihuahuas, but it is not to a level requiring heart medication. He is neutered, utd on vaccines, HW-, and chipped. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Mister’s adoption fee is $200.00 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.

Adoption Process
Meet and greet application, personal and vet reference check (we require all current and previous pets be altered and utd on fire vaccs unless vet note), home/yard/fence check and meet with all member in home including both two and four legged. If determined to be a good fit, adoption contract and payment. We require dogs must be returned to our rescue if adopter can no longer care for the dog.
