Mountain Pet Rescue

To place pets in need in foster and forever homes. Provide education and training to volunteers and those who foster and/or adopt. We do it because there are so many good pets that deserve a good home, and do not deserve to be euthanized.

Meet Koda

Koda is approx 2-3 yrs old and 95 lbs.  A typical young husky mix, Koda loves to snowshoe, cross country ski, and play in the snow! He is smart and already understands sit and shake and he loves to learn new tricks. Koda has done well with other friendly and playful dogs, but could also be happy as an only dog in his home as long as he gets plenty of doggy play dates. He expresses his needs with "woo woos" but he's not a barker.  Koda has been gentle with the cats in his home. He will thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard (apartment life was not for him). If interested in meeting Koda in his Steamboat Springs foster home, please apply to adopt at mountainpetrescue.org

Adoption Process
We do interviews, require signed contracts/paperwork
