Meet Barney

Being early days in the life of 10-year-old Barney, much of his personality has yet to be revealed. What IS clear, though, is that this 6-pound white and brown beauty LOVES lying on his foster mom’s lap! Sweeter than sweet and ever so calm, he also LOVES snuggling and cuddling with her, resting his head on her and rolling over for belly rubs. Barney may just be the best lap dog ever, currently preferring the company of his foster mom to playing with toys and other dogs. Respectful of the resident cats' space, motivated by love and food, he enjoys and accepts all treats gently, and is at work on his commands and leash walking skills. Almost fully crate and house-trained, this tiny, loving lap dog will do best in a laidback home with older, respectful children, and adoring adopters to complete his training, including his commands, and keep him in cuddles fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
