Meet Hazel
Hazel puts the “h” into happy! At 12 weeks of age, this 10-pound blonde beauty is an endearing mixture of sweetness and sassiness. Outgoing and friendly and less dependent on her fosters, she prefers approaching them to say “hi” and get petted and cuddled before doing what typical peppy puppies do: play, play and play some more before taking a well deserved nap. Famously fond of toys, including soft toys with squeakers, Hazel can often be found prancing prettily around the house with the largest stuffy toy in her mouth for all to admire. Learning manners and respect from the resident dogs, she confines her wrestling and roughhousing to cheerful Clover, while any play biting is easily distracted with a toy. Motivated by food and toys, she likes bananas and apples, accepting them gently, currently knows “come,” “sit” and “no,” and is wonderfully responsive to each. At work on her leash skills, crate and house-training, happy Hazel will be happiest with a firm but loving “pack leader” who will perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $395 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.
