While staff and volunteers do their best to learn about each dog, behavior in the shelter is not always the same as behavior in a home. Keeping the 3/3/3 Decompression Rule in mind is important. Three days for initial decompression, three weeks to learn the routines of your household, and three months to start to feel relaxed and safe in the home. When you adopt, foster, or are a new pet parent, it's especially important to consider.
