Meet KYLO

05/03/2025Here is Kylo's report card from Tails and Trails! What did we do on today’s adventure: Kylo was so excited when he found out he was on going a Tails and Trails adventure this morning. He’s a season pro and knew exactly what to do. He was waiting patiently while his friend put his harness on. When he went outside, he jumped right in back of the car, he was ready for the perfect trip. He was focused and prepared for his adventure to Heyller County Park.Once we arrived, Kylo eagerly took in all the new smells, sounds and sights. We saw big geese, baby geese and squirrels. Although he noticed them, he was more interested in exploring his new surroundings. We walked around the beautiful lake a few times toenjoy the view. Our walk led us to Coyote Creek Trail where we saw lots of people and bike riders. Kylo was not fazed at all by the bikes passing by. He continued with a confident strut down the trail. Many people were impressed with Kylo and gave compliments on how handsome he is and how well he walks on a leash. At the end of our adventure, Kylo confidently jump back into the carand enjoyed a yummy chew stick his friend brought for the rideback. What should potential adopters know about me: Kylo is a confident boy who loves discovering new sights, smells and sounds. He would thrive with a forever family who will help him continue to grow and take him on exciting adventures.Three words to describe me: Polite, Patient, Adventurous02/21/2025Here is Kylo's report card from Tails and Trails! What did we do on today’s adventure:Today, my friend took me to a park with lots of great scents and grassy spots. I love taking a good sniff of those grassy spots along our walk. We saw birds, a cat, runners, bikers, walkers, garbage trucks, cars, workmen, construction, and doggo friends. My friend praised me for being such agentleman when I said hi to them from a distance and then resumed our walk.In addition, I love showing off my ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ skills to my friend for treats. I love these types of outings! What should potential adopters know about me:You only need two things to win Kylo’s heart: treats and sniffy walks. Kylo is treat-motivated and would love to learn new tricks from his human companions in exchange for a treat. In addition, he loves exploring new places through sniffing—he would make a great hiking buddy! Kylo is easy going and eager to head out. When I first met him, he greeted me with a wiggly body. He let me put on his collar and harness in a blink. He led me to the door and hopped right into the backseat of my car.During the ride to Jeffrey Fontana Park, he rested his chin between the front seats and remained relaxed the whole way.Once we arrived, he pulled on the leash at first due to excitement. As we continued our walk, he transitioned into loose-leash walking and only pulled when there was a specific spot he wanted to investigate. He handled distractions well—I was surprised by how great he was with loud noises like garbage trucks and construction sites. He is a great pup—come and meet Kylo at the shelter!Three words to describe me: Adventurous, Confident, Social02/19/25 12:15Here is Kylo Report card for Tail and Trails! What did we do on today’s adventure: The moment I saw my friend,I knew it was time for another adventure. My tail started wagging before I could even think about it—walk time! I sat like the very bestboy (because I am) and even threw in a perfect paw shake for good measure. We set off through Willow Glen, where the houses all smelled different but equally interesting. I took my time sniffing every fencepost, every tree, and every mysterious spot on the sidewalk. After a while, we stopped at the park. People-watching is one of my favorite things to do. Then—coffee shop time. I sat politely, my paws neatly in front of me, watching the world go by.After a solid three-mile stroll through the neighborhood, we went to a magical place called PetSmart. This place has everything. By the time we headed back, my legs were perfectly tired, my bellywas happy, and my heart was full. Another perfect day with myfavorite friend. What should potential adopters know about me: Kylo is a 7-year-oldgentleman with the perfect mix of playful charm and laid-back ease.If you’re looking for a dog who will happily join you on a walk, impress you with his tricks, and then settle in for a cozy nap on the couch, Kylo might just be your perfect match. This sweet boy loves treats and isn’t shy about showing off his skills to earn them. Sit? Done. Paw? Absolutely. He’s always eager toplease, and his gentle nature makes him a joy to be around.Walks are one of Kylo’s favorite things—sniffing everything is hispersonal mission, and he takes it very seriously. He enjoys exploringthe world at a steady pace, taking in all the smells, sights, and sounds. when he’s feeling playful, you’ll know it—he lets out thecutest little whine to get your attention, just asking for a bit of fun.At home, Kylo is the definition of a perfect companion. He’d love nothing more than a cozy spot on the couch, some belly rubs, and afew treats in between naps. He’s easygoing, well-mannered, and just looking for a loving home to call his own.If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and charming friend to join your life, Kylo is ready to meet you!Three words to describe me: Gentle, Curious, Sweet.12/16/24 01:39Doggy Day Out Report:Today I: Today I made a new friend and we took a trip to Communications Hill to explore. When we first met, my friend had a treat ready to go and I was in love– I love treats!! He harnessed me up and we were on our way, I did really well getting into the car all on my own. Once we got to the park we explored walking all over the place checking out the new smells, after that park we went on the trail all the way to the top of the hill where we were able to look out and see super far. During our stop at the top, I got lots of butt and belly scratches and I made sure to snuggle in, to make sure I got all the scratches in the right places (i have itchy skin) so it was so nice. Plus I got more treats!!! I showed off how I can sit, stay, and give both paws, so that got me lots of treats. After our hike we went to Pet Food Express and got even more smells and treats in. I had a great day!Three Words to Describe Me are: Friendly, Courageous, Kind Notes from My Walker: Kylo was amazing from the start! He is very treat motivated so that made everything easy but in general he was an easy going guy. He got harnessed up very easy, he hopped in the car like a champ, and he was ready to navigate the whole way. During our walk he continued to check in to make sure I was keeping up and if i was reaching in my bag for treats. He knows how to sit, stay, and give both paws which we practiced a bunch. He was not reactive to dogs at all and we had no issues passing by on a tight trail (he does show some interest to play now and then). Kylo has itchy skin so the extra butt, belly, and back scratches were extremely well received. I had a great time with him and can't wait to go back out.
