Aerosmith

Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Aerosmith

This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 6th at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-3pm, unless he/she is set up and adopted prior to the event. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $700   Aerosmith is a 6 month old Corgi mix (22.3 pounds) who “Don’t Want to Miss A Thing” with his forever home! Aerosmith toured the local shelter circuit before he landed in our rescue through no fault of his own. His former home decided they were no longer interested in a puppy so away he went. Well, we promised him that he would never be forgotten again and scooped him right up. For those who love the goofiness and antics of the Corgi breed, you won’t find better representation than Aerosmith. He promises a lifetime of adventures and cuddles ahead for the home lucky enough to take him home!   Aerosmith is an energizer bunny who has so much love in his body it is practically bursting out of him! He instantly charms anyone who meets him, whether human or dog. He adores his foster sibling and spends his days chasing her around as they play with toys and balls. He would love a home that is ready for a life of adventure and excitement, as he has an explorer nature and a love for trying new things. Aerosmith adores every toy but has an affinity for mini tennis balls (though he is still working on fetch). Aerosmith is very handsome and has that sought after Corgi body. He is long and low ladies! He doesn’t let his status as a short king keep him down though, as he wiggles his way into the hearts of his admirers. He has the best chicken leg scratchy spots and will melt into your lap when you sit down to dote on him like he deserves.  Aerosmith wakes up around 7 AM with a wagging tail and a smile on his face. He soaks up kisses and pets while his breakfast is served and then happily eats his first meal. After he eats, he heads outside for some play and potty time, romping around with his canine foster siblings. Throughout the day, Aerosmith alternates between playing, zooming, and napping. What could be better? He gets a walk in the afternoon and works on his leash skills as he sniffs around the neighborhood. Dinner is at 6 PM followed by more playtime in the yard. In the evening, Aerosmith gets his cuddles in before he heads out for one last potty session before bed.  Aerosmith adores dogs and would love a canine sibling in his forever home. He has met a cat and beyond some barking he left her alone. He will need a home prepared to continue his training as he is still a puppy and needs a routine to help him thrive. Are you ready for this rockstar to join your backing band?    Aerosmith is only an option for homes with prior dog experience. Interested homes should be prepared for the activity level of a young pup. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
