Meet Thor, the Black Mouth Cur Mastiff mix! This wiggly guy is eager to interact with just about everyone he meets and often brings a toy to his kennel door to say âhiâ to people. Thor has lots of energy to bring to his next home and would thrive with daily walks, play and positive reinforcement based training (which will also serve as a great way to bond with his new guardian). Thor has made some canine friends at the Shelter and enjoys zooming around playing chase with his friend âChloeâ (a 6 year old pittie up for adoption). Thor may enjoy a canine companion in his adoptive home but we would require some brief speed dating prior to adoption. This dogâs adoption fee is reduced to $70 from May 1st to May 15th as part of âEmpty the Sheltersâ, an adoption event hosted by the Bissell Pet Foundation to help pets across the nation find the loving adoptive homes they deserve.Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
