California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue

We are a Non Profit 501(c)3 Organization operated through donated hours by our dedicated Volunteers. We rescue young and old, big and small Labradors, Boxers, Shepherds, Collies, Cattle Dogs, Pitt Bulls, and many mixed breed dogs. Your information will help us guide you toward dogs that will blend with your family situation and lifestyle. We do not adopt first come first serve but to best match. You will be adopting a RESCUED dog, one who will need continued care, support and love to overcome their past life situations. Be ready to commit time, money and resources to helping your dog transition to their new home. Rescuing a dog does not end at the adoption. You are agreeing to take on the next step in their life. Remember these are RESCUED animals who have endured hardships that we may not be aware of. Labs and More provides you with a Dog or Puppy who have received a Veterinarian check up, Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Worming, Fecal Test, and most adults a 4DX Test. Some of our dogs have undergone surgeries, treatments, and ongoing medical care. Our dogs receive far more care than what the Adoption Donation covers. When you adopt you are agreeing to provide the future needs of your new rescued Dog. This is what RESCUING is all about.

Meet Hero Pup #2 - Joan

Joan is the biggest pup in the group but probably not for long as her brothers are catching up to her. She is a playful happy puppy who loves her time in the yard playing with her siblings and running as fast as she can. She is happy with belly rubs and rewards you with kisses. She loves mealtime and is a great little eater. She is black with beautiful white markings and a white spot on the end of her tail. These adorable pups arrived in a crate with 5 other white puppies and a beautiful white mom named Hero. With just one glance we could clearly see these were two different litters of puppies. Later we found out that the pups with the short black hair lost their mom shortly after they were born and Hero was caring for them. Lucky for these pups they found an amazing mom and ended up with Labs and More Rescue where they will now begin their new life. We are not sure what breed these pups are but our best estimate is Labrador, Terrier, Chihuahua mix pups. If we are somewhat close on their breed we believe they will be in the range of 35 to 45lbs when fully grown. Joan is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. There you will find our online adoption applications. Once you have completed the form you will get an automated response within a few moments. If you do not receive a notice that means the form did not submit. Check to make sure you answered all required questions A Volunteer Adoption Coach will be in touch with you within 2-4 days post application submission.
