United Hope for Animals

We support the Baldwin Park Shelter (and have trained volunteers at other LA county shelters) animals through 2x monthly photoshoots with professional photographers. We network the animals we photograph, videotape and assess through online media and local contacts. We also support a free spay/neuter clinic in Tijuana.

Meet LAYLA

#A5696954 Meet Layla , a 7-year-old miniature Terrier/Maltese mix and the most darling little tuft of scruff you’ve ever seen - like a curly-haired muppet with big brown eyes that will melt your heart! Don’t let her age fool you - this sweet girl still has so much life to live and even more love to give. She’s clearly been a mama more than once, and now it’s her turn to be pampered and adored like the precious love muffin she is. Layla is incredibly affectionate and happiest when cuddled close - she’s a lap dog through and through. She will need to be adopted on a health waiver due to a small lump on her tummy, likely related to her past nursing multiple litters, but it’s something your vet can help assess just to be safe. Layla’s ready to spend her golden years snuggled up in a home filled with love - could it be yours?       -7 year old white and apricot Terrier/Maltese mix -17 pound spayed female -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Layla does need to be adopted on a health waiver due to a little lump on her tummy - given how this sweet girl has been overbred, it could easily be from repeated nursing, but it's best to have it checked out by your own vet -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/4/25 as a stray -the most darling little tuft of scruff, like a curly haired muppet peering out at you from behind her floof with endearingly big brown eyes -don't let this sweet girl's middle age scare you off - she has looooots of life left to live, and even more love to give!  -has clearly been a mama multiple times, and now deserves to be cherished and babied like the little love muffin she is -very affectionate and just wants to cuddle close to her people - would be the perfect lap dog   LAYLA’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/PBS For more information, contact volunteer Karen at [email protected]   Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
