United Hope for Animals

We support the Baldwin Park Shelter (and have trained volunteers at other LA county shelters) animals through 2x monthly photoshoots with professional photographers. We network the animals we photograph, videotape and assess through online media and local contacts. We also support a free spay/neuter clinic in Tijuana.

Meet Betty

Meet Betty , a 6-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with stunning, one-of-a-kind looks and a warm heart full of lots of love to give! With her darling floppy ears, smooshably wrinkled face, and a gorgeous tricolor coat complete with white socks and tail tip, she’s a true original - inside and out. Although a bit cautious in the busy shelter environment, Betty warms up beautifully and has all the makings of a loyal, loving friend for a lifetime. She’s sweet, affectionate, and adores being close to her people, always ready to both give and receive love. This pretty girl is also sharp and attentive, and with the right treats (yum!) and loving encouragement, she could be a superstar at learning new skills. If you're looking for a devoted companion with beauty, brains, and a heart of gold, Betty’s your girl! ✨   -6 year old tricolor Black Mouth Cur mix -57 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before you can take her home, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/28/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Betty is an absolute dream! -gloriously mixed little lady, with unique looks that suggest a variety of breeds in the family -charmingly floppy ears, a smooshably wrinkled face, and a marvelous tricolor coat, with precious white socks and other accents on her chest, neck, and tip of her tail -such a pretty girl, with the personality to match!  -a little cautious and hesitant in the busy shelter environment, but warms up very nicely, and will clearly be a deeply devoted and loyal companion to her new furever family -loves to be close to her people and actively seeks out affection, and is just as ready to give out her love in return -Seems like a smart cookie, and with the right motivation, could easily learn more advanced skills!   ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed above. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.
