Meet Janet. This female poodle mix came in with two âfriendsâ. Janet got a âspa dayâ when she was spayed as she was very matted and needed a full shave down. With her new âdo â she is ready for her adoptive home. Janet has been noted to be a bit quiet and shy but curious with new people. She has coexisted with the other dogs she came in with but is not necessarily soliciting play. A home with a mellow dog may be a fit after a period of speed dating. Janet would thrive in a dog-savvy adoptive home where adopters will let her decompress and warm up to her new life with her family. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
