Meet Strawberry

Strawberry is the sweetest girl around! Strawberry is estimated to be around 3 months old and is a ball of fun and love who can't wait to be your new BFF. She is very much a little lap dog and loves to cuddle and be carried. She is also full of puppy energy and loves to romp around and explore. Strawberry weighs about 7lbs now, and we estimated she will be around 20-30lbs when fully grown. Strawberry came to us from a local shelter after she was found all alone as a stray. A family never came forward to claim her, so we wasted no time placing her in a foster home. She hasn't been with us too long, so we are still getting to know her, but she has already won our hearts with her endearing and goofy personality. Strawberry is a puppy who plays hard and sleeps hard. She quickly became BFFs with the other puppy in her foster home, and they love to wrestle and race around. But after all the fun has been had, she loves nothing more than curling up in a lap for some love. Strawberry loves to be by your side and would thrive with a family who wants a dog to take with them wherever they go. She has been going on field trips around town and loves to check out new places. Strawberry is still learning all of her basic manners and needs a family committed to continuing her training and helping her grow and learn. Strawberry has done great with other small dogs in her foster home, but is nervous of the one large dog. She would love another small dog buddy in her new home to play with, and may do well with the right large dog. She could also do well as an only dog with lots of opportunities to socialize with other dogs. Strawberry has done well with the cats in her foster home after a slow introduction and with proper supervision. Strawberry could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Strawberry has been doing well using pee pads, but is still learning to potty outside and needs a family committed to working on her housetraining with her. Strawberry hasn't spent too much time alone and would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate her to being home alone. Strawberry is such a wonderful little girl, and she is so excited to start her new life with her fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Strawberry's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email [email protected]. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.

Adoption Process
We have an application that needs to be completed. We need to interview all members of the household that are considering adopting the pet. We also need to verify if renting that any rental deposits have been satisfied.
