United Hope for Animals

We support the Baldwin Park Shelter (and have trained volunteers at other LA county shelters) animals through 2x monthly photoshoots with professional photographers. We network the animals we photograph, videotape and assess through online media and local contacts. We also support a free spay/neuter clinic in Tijuana.

Meet DONG DONG

A5695914 Meet Dong Dong, a 6-year-old Long-haired German Shepherd who’s basically a real-life teddy bear, with a heart as soft as his fluffy, rich russet and black coat that practically demands gentle pets. With his softly rounded ears always perked at attention and his deeply soulful eyes locked on you, this sweet, mellow boy is all about connection and calm companionship. He’s super friendly, incredibly affectionate, and loves making new friends - human or otherwise. Dong Dong is potty trained, knows commands like sit, come, and down, and is always eager to please (especially if yummy treats are involved!). While he could use a little polishing of his leash work, his gentle nature and devoted attentiveness make him a dream to work with. If you're looking for a gentle giant who’ll be your loyal shadow, Dong Dong is ready to melt your heart!   -6 year old brown and black long-haired German Shepherd -81 pound neutered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/30/25 as a stray -this boy is such a stunner, with a rich russet brown and jet black coat that practically begs for pets, and adorably rounded ears that stay perked at attention -this fluffy, cuddly beanie baby of a pup looks like he walked straight out of a Berenstain Bears book - if you're looking for a real life teddy bear, Dong Dong is the dog for you!  -sweet, mellow, and gentle, with a deeply soulful presence -super friendly and warmly affectionate - easily makes fast friends with anyone he comes across -very attentive and tuned in to his people - makes excellent eye contact and is always looking to you, to let you know he's ready and waiting to take direction -such a smart cookie! is potty trained, and knows a variety of basic commands - like sit, come, and down -could use some leash work to be his best self, but this shouldn't be too bad given how well he minds his people (plus plenty of yummy treats!)    DONG DONG’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/ZYR For more information, contact volunteer Sandy at  [email protected]   Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
