The Heroic Tail

We rescue dogs who are deemed unadoptable due to their behavior. We have partnered with two training facilities to help us. We decided to work with these dogs because these are the dogs that are put down first. Most dogs display fear at shelters and that gets them on the euthanasia list. With trainers who are committed to assist us with training these dogs become adoptable and some can become ESA animals with their training as well. It is easy to adopt out puppies or dogs who are easy but we thought what about the rest who are not helped because of the cost of training and difficulty level.

Meet Wrigley

Hi, I’m Wrigley. I’m an English Bulldog with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. My original family loved me, but they didn’t have the time I needed—and I spent a lot of days alone, wondering when someone would come home. They made the difficult decision to let me go, hoping I’d find a family who could give me the attention and affection every dog deserves. I’m learning how to be brave in this big world. With the help of some amazing dog friends, I’ve started to come out of my shell and grow more confident every day. I’m good on a leash, crate trained, and currently working hard to learn my basic commands—and how to stay calm when I meet new people (I just get so happy!). All I want is someone to love me, guide me, and be patient as I continue to blossom. I may have had a lonely start, but I know my happily ever after is out there. Could it be with you?

Adoption Process
Application for Adoption, Application review with adopter on the phone, meet with dog, home check, adoption contract with adoption fee paid, 3 training sessions with the dog included in adoption.
