She was able to spend time in a local foster home with two other dogs, a cat and a teenager. It was there Luna was able to show more of her true self. Luna will play with dogs in the typical bully breed style; lots of physical bumping and chasing. She will retrieve toys/balls and will engage in training games. On walks she is eager to walk and sniff. Simple techniques to reduce pulling were effective and Luna demonstrated a nice balance; she was observant, but steady and nonplused by the normal sights and sounds of everyday life.   Where Luna will need continued guidance is in building her comfort at being separated from the group whether that be dogs or people. It is notable that in the days she was in foster, she made good strides in this skill. She was sleeping through the night in a crate, spending time behind a baby gate and waiting inside the vehicle. She never once barked. Given time and the support of a caring and patient family, Luna is sure to continue to gain in confidence.   If you have a dog that you think would enjoy having a playmate to wrestle around the yard with, then Luna might just be the perfect fit. This young adult has the potential to move into a home and improve the quality of life of that family. Come and spend some time with Luna!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: [email protected]
