K9 Paw Print Rescue

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, abused, stray and neglected animals, primarily from high-kill shelters. We collaborate with other rescue groups and animal shelters to improve the lives of animals at risk for euthanisia. We work to provide solutions which seek to end the animal over-population and educate people to be responsible pet owners and "fur-ever guardians."

Meet Lady Bug

NAME:Lady BugSTATS:Female, chi mix, 7 years, 11 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Playful, but not overly so.SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Leash trained.Good with dogs.Good with cats.Likes walks, but not great for hiking.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes walks.Submissive.ONE LAST THING:Lady Bug is a sweet, happy, little 11 lb girl who would love to be your couch buddy. She loves a walk around the block and will help aerate lawns by enthusiastically back-kicking after potties. Lady Bug is food motivated and smart. While she's a calm, mature gal (est. 7 years old) she happily dances at meal time and wakes up with smiles and gallops to greet each day. She's learned to go in her crate on command and responds well to gentle "ah ah"s. Lady Bug is timid around strangers - she barks and growls -but just needs a few minutes to get to know them and then is all wags. Cold morning temperatures make her shiver, so she would enjoy living somewhere hot where she could sun bathe. Not a super barky little girl; however, she feels it is her duty to let the mailman know he offends her by being in her eyesight. Lady Bug has learned to get along with the big labrador she currently lives with. At the dog park, she interacted with little dogs well and appeared to want to play. She has seen cats, but does not have much interest in them. Lady Bug has not been tested with kids but, because she is so small, gentle children over 10 would be bestLady Bug came to us as a stray and it's evident from her behavior of needing to be close to her person, she would benefit from confidence building. If you're ready for a small, loyal companion to fill your heart with love, this little pup might just be the one for you!K9 Dog Information FormIs this a new form or an update for a longer-term foster?NewName of Foster ParentKaren [email protected] Official Name of DogLady BugNickname of Dog (what you call the dog)GenderFemaleBreedChihuahuaAge7Weight11TemperamentShy at first and warms up.Playful, but not overly so.Skills (check all appropriate)Potty trained.Crate trained.Leash trained.Good with dogs.Good with cats.Likes walks, but not great for hiking.More About Your FosterLikes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes walks.Submissive.Pitch your foster!
