Meet ASTRO*

Meet Astro, the Australian Terrier mix! Astro came to the Shelter with his “friend” Jupiter. Staff have observed hat they are quite the duo – very comfortable with each other and often acting in tandem. They are not required to be adopted together but could be a cute pair looking to adopt two. Astro has been very easy going when interacting with staff and volunteers since his arrival. During his time at the Shelter, he has been fairly indifferent with other dogs, much preferring the attention of 2 legged beings. If you're looking for a pint sized walking buddy to help you get your steps in - Astro may be your guy! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
