Meet Chapo

Meet Chapo – a friendly and energetic 8–9 month-old male German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix (tan and black). ✔️ Spayed/Neutered: No ✔️ Vaccines: Not current ✔️ Potty trained: Unknown ✔️ Crate trained: No Chapo was recently rescued, but due to limited space and time, his current caretaker is unable to keep him. He is a social, affectionate pup who is friendly with children and welcomes strangers warmly. He has been kept both indoors and outdoors and is comfortable in different settings. While still very young and in need of continued training and structure, he is eager for attention and would thrive with an active family who can give him time and guidance. Chapo has also been around livestock, making him adaptable to different environments. Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
