Initially frightened when he arrived at the shelter, Shortstack has been on a journey of healing with the compassionate care of our dedicated team. He may have started off growling and avoiding contact, but with patience and love, he’s beginning to reveal his affectionate nature. He is very friendly outside of his kennel. He is treat motivated and knows sit. He enjoys affection and will crawl in your lap.Shortstack is not just looking for a home; he’s searching for a family that understands his need for trust and comfort. He can be selective about his people, needing time to feel secure before fully opening his heart. But once he feels safe, he’ll lean in for those sweet pets and delightful booty scratches that will fill your home with warmth.In playgroups, Shortstack has begun to learn how to socialize with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a patient owner ready to help him flourish.
