Meet Leo

Leo – Black Male X, 1.5-2 years, 80 lbs. Well, hello there my fellow Labradorians! What a set up I have found myself in!  The canine executives here call me Leo. I was a little confused by all the meetings and formalities happening around here.  Car rides to get checked out by the vet. Car rides to what must have been dog school.  More car rides to some other boss of Labrador’s house.  I tell you what, I have been given this green fuzzy round thing that flies through the air and bounces around anytime I take to one of the ladies. I have never had fun before.  I can play with stuff that appears to be laying around just for me. After my recent journey this really feels like I was transported to planet Labrador.  I really don’t know how I got myself into this situation, but I can’t say I’m sad about landing in this world that revolves around dogs. I was so scared when I ended up in the animal slammer.  I’m a big dude, but surely didn’t think things would work out for me from there. I’ll tell ya’ll a story about just who Leo is. You see, Leo is me I’m just talking in third canine. I am a large, lovable goofy youngster.  Since being transported to this strange new world, I have discovered the magic of human hands.  Yep, pet me, rub my head, and pet me s’more. I like it. Rubs and tennis balls are the best things ever.  I’d like to continue this life of luxury right there at your place. Inviting myself into your life might be a little forward, but I have come to feel so safe and happy here with these Labradorians that I got to do a little advertising for myself. I am a good time! I even went to school and learned some stuff not too long ago.  Couple days ago maybe.  They said I done good. Check out my qualifications below and give me a holler if you want to take me up on a lifetime of unconditional love and tennis balls.  Got to have them things!   Leo’s qualifications include a handsome blocky head with adorable batman ears. He’s been in recent doggy play groups.with our trainer extraordinaire, (Sarah Chambless/K9 Solutions)  He really has a thing for horses; they are his special friends. He walks surprisingly nicely on a leash, considering his size and unknown past.  He is very affectionate and definitely a retriever (sometimes he even brings it back) but only for so long then he’s done.  Leo seems to be interested in water.  He’s not yet had a formal introduction to a pool or body of water, but he’s certainly curious.  Leo just wants to be your buddy at your side.  Children under 10 may not be a success with Leo because he is big, strong, still clumsy enough to unintentionally knock a child over. When fresh out of the shelter he showed some stranger danger, but has transitioned into a friendly fun happy guy. Leo is still young enough to get into trouble when he’s bored.  He would do well as an only dog in a family with someone home much of the time. He did interact well with other dogs in playgroup so canine siblings are also possible, he especially liked a girly dog who he played with and had the same energy.  Definitely enroll in obedience classes to further develop his manners and social skills.  This guy is a great match for an active lifestyle, with love and adventures!
