Meet Darla

Darla – Black Female, 2.5 Years, 61 lbs. With her silky, jet-black coat that shimmers in the sunlight, Darla is as stunning on the outside as she is sweet on the inside. This tall, statuesque girl has a slim build at 61 pounds and could fill out a bit to reach her healthiest weight. Darla’s greatest passion? Her beloved Kong ball. The moment she sees it, her lip quivers in anticipation — and once you throw it, watch her rocket across the yard with pure joy. Friendly and easygoing, Darla gets along well with the resident dogs in her foster home. She hasn’t met any cats yet, so her feline compatibility is still a mystery. Still new to rescue life, she’s already showing how smart she is, quickly picking up commands like “sit” and improving her leash skills day by day. She’s also crate and house trained and settles nicely when needed. While she hasn’t lived with children in her foster home, we can easily picture her fitting right in with respectful older kids. She still has a touch of puppy exuberance and could accidentally topple a toddler during play. Darla is looking for an active family who will keep her mind and body engaged with regular exercise, continued training, and, of course, plenty of love. She’s one smart, loving girl who’s ready to be someone’s pride and joy. We know this beauty will be snapped up quickly, so please fill out an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for Darla!! If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped.
