United Hope for Animals

We support the Baldwin Park Shelter (and have trained volunteers at other LA county shelters) animals through 2x monthly photoshoots with professional photographers. We network the animals we photograph, videotape and assess through online media and local contacts. We also support a free spay/neuter clinic in Tijuana.

Meet Howard

At just 5 months old, Howard is already showing signs of the loyal, loving companion he’s destined to become. With his classic tan and black German Shepherd coat, soft ears, and soulful eyes, this sweet youngster is equal parts playful pup and gentle old soul.     -5-month-old, neutered male -German Shepherd Puppy -Tan and black coat with adorable puppy features -42 lbs, but still growing! -Adorable ears (one straight up and one flopped over) -Came into the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/28/25—URGENT! —Let’s get this adorable pup out of the shelter and into a loving home! -Great age to begin training and bonding -Curious about the world, eager to learn, and absolutely melts for kind attention -He’s still discovering his paws (and the joy of belly rubs!), but he’s got all the makings of a truly wonderful best friend. If you’re ready to help a young shepherd blossom into his full potential—with plenty of cuddles and adventures along the way—Howard is ready to meet his forever person!     ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed above. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.

Adoption Process
$250 for dogs; $125 for cats (only when we are fostering)
