Meet Sasha

Courtesy Post – Rehoming Needed This dog is not at the shelter. Meet Sasha – a loyal and intelligent 3-year-old female Border Collie/German Shepherd mix (black). ✔️ Spayed/Neutered: Yes ✔️ Vaccines: Yes ✔️ Potty trained: Yes ✔️ Crate trained: Yes Sasha has been with her family for 2 years after being adopted from a shelter. Sadly, due to housing challenges, she is now looking for a new home. She is friendly with children and has lived with both dogs and cats. Sasha enjoys being primarily indoors and is a devoted companion. With visitors, she does best when introduced calmly—she can get stressed if things feel too chaotic but warms up quickly once reassured. Sasha can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, so she will do best with a patient and experienced adopter who can continue her training and help her feel more secure. She is smart, affectionate, and eager to please—classic traits of both Border Collies and Shepherds. Sasha will thrive in a home where she has structure, engagement, and love. If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please contact her owner, Gianni, directly: Email: [email protected]

Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
