Meet Mayo – a playful and energetic 3-year-old male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix (black and brown). ✔️ Spayed/Neutered: No ✔️ Vaccines: Not current ✔️ Potty trained: No ✔️ Crate trained: No Mayo has been with his family since he was a puppy but now needs a new home due to housing challenges. He is a friendly, active dog who enjoys people and is good with children. Mayo allows visitors to pet him but can get excited and jump up for attention. He has lived with other dogs and does well with them. Mayo does display some energetic behaviors, including lunging playfully and jumping fences, so he will need a secure yard and ongoing training to help guide his energy in positive ways. With structure, exercise, and consistency, Mayo will thrive in a home that can keep up with his active nature. Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
