Meet Dougie

Do you have the patience of a saint? If so, Dougie would love to get to know you. He is timid as a mouse and needs a kind patient person to help him gradually understand the world can be a nice place. He’d prefer to have a companion dog of equal size and energy level to help him in finding his way. Dougie would be fine in a home with cats – provided the cat is dog-savvy and the people are on top of managing interactions and redirecting as needed. Dougie acts younger than his estimated age of 3, and he’ll benefit from all the things that puppies do – training, consistency, and lots of love. Since Dougie has puppy tendencies, jumping with excitement when he sees you to give love nibbles, he’d do best in a home with children 12 years or older. Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California, and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Dougie's been up to, check out his posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs.
