Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Coppola

Adoption Fee: $800   Coppola is a 1 year old Miniature Goldendoodle who’s looking for his next star: you! This film buff was surrendered to the shelter for reasons unknown, but what we do know is his puppy dog eyes are impossible to resist. He’s hoping his forever home has toys, warm blankets, and storage space for his many awards! This handsome boy has a non-shedding coat which will require regular grooming. He is an option for those with allergies or just want less hair around the house. Coppola is ready to say lights, camera, action with you!    Coppola is a burst of sunshine and energy who is all the best of the doodle experience! He loves to be with his people and follow them around waiting to shower them with affection. He loves romping around with his dog friends almost as much as he loves finding a plushie to chew on. The outdoors were made for Coppola and he delights in sniffing out all the good smells the world has to offer him. Coppola has tons of puppy energy but is also very smart. He is food motivated and responds eagerly to praise. This smart boy can’t wait to show off all his smarts for his lucky forever people. Coppola is just so excited to show the world all the love in his heart, in fact it is always just bursting out of him. With a permanent smile on his face and wag in his tail, we just know he will EGOT his way into your heart.  Coppola wakes up around 7 AM and immediately goes outside for a potty break. He loves to get some play in with his foster sibling before he gets breakfast around 8 AM. He then goes out for a 20-30 minute morning walk and loves sniffing his way through the neighborhood. The rest of Coppola’s day is spent playing with the resident dog, playing with his toys, romping around the yard, and getting a few naps in. In the evening, Coppola gets his dinner at 5 PM and then gets a long evening walk. Post walk, Coppola likes to lounge around either on the couch or on a dog bed in the living room. After one last potty break at 10 PM, Coppola heads to his crate for bed.  Coppola adores his resident dog pal and would do very well in a home with another dog. He would also be just fine as your one and only. Coppola will require more training, especially on his leash work and sharing skills, but since he is still young we think training classes will be a blast with him. Don’t delay in bringing this award-winning pup into your home and adopt Coppola today!    Coppola is an option for those who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plan for grooming. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
