Sweet Marzipan is looking to add some sweetness to somebodyâs home. She is playful and enjoys interacting with people while playing with toys. Staff have observed that she is cuddly and melts to the ground for belly rubs. When meeting other dogs at the Shelter, she initiated some play. A home with a canine companion may be in Marzipanâs future. Marzipan is still perfecting some life skills and manners (like potty training and leash walking) and is looking for a patient adopter who will help her learn through positive reinforcement based training.Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
