Meet ATLAS*

Meet Atlas, the black and tan handsome mixed breed. Atlas was found as a stray when a good Samaritan was out walking his own dog and came across Atlas. Atlas joined them in on their walk and then the good sam brought him down to the Shelter so he would be safe and sound. Staff have noted that Atlas is an overall easy going guy – quiet in his kennel, calm and affiliative when out and sometimes tries to initiate play with other pups. Atlas would likely do well in a variety of homes but would thrive with daily mental and physical stimulation. Could that be with you? Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
