Meet Brownie

Brownie needs a foster home in Northern California! Big and beautiful! Ready to be a loving companion for someone who wants a single dog! Brownie3 (the “3” is silent) is eager to join you for walks, runs, and cuddling. OK, so maybe it’s hard to cuddle with a 75-pound dog … but that won’t stop either of you from trying to manage it. Transportation to your home will be provided. To foster Brownie (Northern California only – Visalia to the Oregon border): Complete the foster application here: https://norcalgsprescue.org/foster-application/ If you are already an approved foster, email [email protected] today. If you are a NorCal GSP Rescue adopter, complete the foster application here: https://norcalgsprescue.org/foster-application/ and we will fast-track you. Also available for direction adoption – if you’re ready to adopt, Brownie is also available for direct adoption.  If you’re interested, complete the adoption questionnaire here: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and then let’s talk! More about Brownie: Brownie is happy to sit whenever asked, including before going through gates. He has great leash manners (check out his video!) and loves affection. He leaves his blankets and beds intact. Brownie enjoys taking a snooze in the office to get a break from the kennel. Despite frequent traffic of new people and dogs, he gives a quick bark to alert and then stops. Crate skills galore! He is happy to go in a crate, either wire or plastic. He will even sit to be leashed up, in the crate, before coming out. Loud noises are no bother to Brownie. Brownie’s larger stature and calm demeanor make him a perfect guy to snuggle. We believe Brownie will do best in an only dog home. He does not like to share his humans with other dogs. Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Brownie's been up to, check out his posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
