Meet Mozzie

Adoption Fee: $700 Mozzie is a 1 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Cocker Spaniel mix who was surrendered to DPS when his family was moving and wasn’t able to take him along with them. His full name is Matzo Ball Soup but that’s a bit of a mouthful for such a petite dude so we’ve affectionately nicknamed him Mozzie (he’s also the color of Mozzarella cheese)! Mozzie has gorgeous eyes and a gorgeous coat and is ready for all of life’s adventures ahead. Life would sure be a ball with Mozzie in it!   Below is a note from Mozzie’s foster family.  “Mozzie took a day or two to warm up in our home but once he got comfortable he showed us his playful demeanor! Mozzie is always bringing us toys or romping around the house with his favorite possession of the hour. It’s so funny to watch him play and keep himself occupied as we work. Mozzie is fully house trained and loves his walks.  Mozzie wakes up at 7 AM and goes out for a potty walk. He then has breakfast and plays for a few hours before napping until lunchtime. He gets another walk in the afternoon where he takes his time smelling all the good smells the neighborhood has to offer. When we return from that walk, he keeps himself occupied while I work until the evening. He gets another walk and then has dinner around 7 PM. He likes to watch TV and relax with us in the evening. He goes out one more time around 10 PM and then heads to bed for the night. Mozzie has gotten along well with the kids and dogs he has met. He would be a great option for any kind of family as long as they are looking for a loving and enthusiastic new member of the family. He loves cuddles and he always tries to use his puppy dog eyes to get just one more minute of pets (we always give in of course).”   Mozzie is an option for just about any kind of home! Kids in the home should be over the age of 5. 

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
