Meet Sabrina S
Sabrina is a beautiful petite sable female who greets all people and dogs with soft eye contact and a big tail wag. She's calm and easy going, loves car rides, and relaxes comfortably in her crate. She knows sit, down, stay, and walks nicely on a leash. She is accustomed to going inside and out, loves to go exploring in the house and yard, and came knowing how to use the doggie door. She is also housebroken. She's very food motivated which makes her fun to train. She is sweet and very affectionate and always ready to come to you for pets or treats. She allows all handling with ease. Sabrina was a shelter favorite among staff and volunteers, and volunteers often took her home for the weekend where she got along with the volunteer's many dogs. She was also a helper dog in shelter playgroups where she enjoyed being outside romping and playing with both male and female dogs. She is very playful and offers lots of play bows. Sabrina is an easy Level 2 dog.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process is designed to help you and the right dog find each other. Our goal is to place each dog into a permanent, safe, and loving home.
For the safety of small children and their families and the well being of younger dogs, we will only adopt dogs 4 years and older to families with children under the age of 7.
To adopt a German Shepherd Dog from us, you must:
1. Live in Northern California.
2. Complete an Adoption Questionnaire, either online, or hard-copy (pdf format). If you do not own your home, your landlord must provide the completed Landlord Permission Agreement(pdf format).
3. Be interviewed by an adoption counselor.
4. Allow a home visit conducted by a GSRNC adoption counselor.
5. Choose, and be chosen by, the right dog.
6. With our approval, sign our Adoption Agreement, and pay the associated adoption fee.
7. At the time of adoption we also collect a deposit which is refunded after completion of two training sessions.
