Meet Somang

Foster or forever home wanted, meet handsome Somang! Somang came into the shelter on May 27 as an owner surrender with the reason "they didn't have time for him". Somang is dealing with bilateral ear infections and some inflammation and sores on his neck that appear to possibly be from an embedded collar.  With the overcrowding crisis at the shelters these days, dogs do not get much time, even more true with an owner surrender. When we saw Somang was in danger, we put in a request to take him into rescue. That very same day, someone came to the shelter to adopt him and was to return that afternoon to pick him up after his neuter surgery. The adopter no showed. Luckily the shelter reached out to us to see if we were still interested in helping him. We were elated to be able to exit this boy from the shelter to take care of his ears and neck. He is so handsome, we know we will find him a loving home. What we know about him so far is he is a big, strong boy. He needs some leash training and we will start working on that while we wait for a foster or forever home to come along.
