Meet STELLA

Meet Stella, the 8 year old border collie lab mix. Typical to labs, Stella loves to play fetch and give kisses to the people she loves. She lived with another dog previously but can be selective as to what canines she calls “friend” so a home as the only pup or with a well matched dog may be best. Stella has a history living with dog savvy cats, being house trained and being someone’s indoor companion. Stella is available to meet and greet with potential adopters but is not quite ready to go home as she has a date with the dentist on 5/13! Check in with client services on how to meet her. This dog’s adoption fee is reduced to $70 from May 1st to May 15th as part of “Empty the Shelters”, an adoption event hosted by the Bissell Pet Foundation to help pets across the nation find the loving adoptive homes they deserve. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
