The Redfield Friends of the Animals Rescue group is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our main goal is to assist the Redfield Animal Control in the adoption process of the current city pound population. We are a foster and donation based rescue. Meet Pig

Meet Pig: A Loyal Plott Hound Mix Ready for His Forever Home At first glance, Pig’s striking brindle coat and strong build might catch your eye—but it’s his sweet, soulful personality that will truly capture your heart. Pig is a male Plott Hound mix currently living in an outdoor shelter, patiently waiting for a forever family who will offer him the love, comfort, and companionship he’s ready to give in return. Pig is a medium-energy dog who loves people and does especially well with older kids and other dogs. While he hasn’t been tested around small children & cats, he’s shown a friendly and approachable demeanor in all his human and canine interactions, and would likely do well with both. When meeting new people, Pig gets a little excited—his tail wags fast, and his eyes light up—but he quickly settles down and responds well to gentle correction. It’s easy to see that he’s eager to bond and please. Right now, Pig is undergoing treatment for heartworms, a common but completely manageable condition. With proper care, he’s on track to make a full recovery and will soon be healthy and full of life. His resilience and positive spirit throughout the process show just how ready he is for a new beginning. Because Pig is in an outdoor shelter, some aspects of his behavior—like whether he’s crate trained, leash trained, or fully potty trained—are still unknown. However, given his temperament and responsiveness, it’s likely he’ll adjust well to indoor living and basic training with a little time and patience. Pig’s story is still being written, and the next chapter could be the most important one yet. All he needs is a family willing to open their hearts and home to a strong, affectionate dog who’s ready for his second chance. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and even bigger potential, Pig might be the perfect match for you. Contact [insert shelter or rescue name] today to learn more about this amazing dog and how you can make him a part of your life.
